Insurers
Australis insists on utilising first class security. All insurers we underwrite for are at least 'A' rated and respondents to the General Insurance Code Of Practice and also Insurance Enquiries and Complaints Limited.
Claims Management
Australis manages, settles and pays claims for most Lloyd's policies from our Sydney office.
All policies underwritten by Australis are subject to Australian jurisdiction.
In respect of property, accident, liability and contingency insurance underwritten on behalf of underwriters at Lloyd's of London, we have authority to settle, without referral to underwriters, any claim up to $200,000. Claims in excess of this figure together with all Lloyd`s professional indemnity claims are managed and settled by Australis in liaison with the Lead Underwriter at Lloyd's.
In respect of Jewellers Block and Fine Art insurance underwritten on behalf of underwriters at Lloyd's of London, we have authority to settle, without referral to underwriters, any claim up to $50,000. Claims in excess of this figure are managed and settled by Australis in liaison with the Lead Underwriter at Lloyd's.
Non - Lloyd's claims are managed in conjunction with the respective insurers.
Great Lakes Australia
Construction and Engineering policies are underwritten by Great Lakes Australia.
